2019 LAMP Concert dates

The annual free LAMP outdoor concerts at IH Park began in June and include one concert to compliment the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, which is in Lakeland.

Adults are invited to sit back, relax and enjoy the show. The family-friendly event will feature entertainment for all ages. There will be plenty of fun for the kiddies in the designated play area featuring inflatables. There will be also be face painting and balloon magic with Mr. Mike the Balloon Man.

Bring a blanket, chair, and a cooler, and to hang out under a moonlit evening with friends and neighbors, as Lakeland brings a high level of live music and entertainment to The LAMP. FACEBOOK.COM/LAKELANDTN

Live Music at The LAMP kicked-off its fourth annual summer series Saturday, June 1, featuring the "Memphis Funk-N-Horns," at I.H. Park located at 4523 Canada Road. New time for the concerts this year is from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, June 22: The Mighty Electric St. Jude Band (1-Hour prior to the band taking stage, children’s entertainer Patty Shukla, will take the stage. Your kids don’t want to miss this exciting performance. Come early!). The St. Jude Band event will start at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 27: Will Tucker

Saturday, Aug. 24: Land/Divided

Saturday, Sept. 28: Bluff City Bandits

The June 22nd performance by the St. Jude Band will coincide with the June 23rd St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. The home, valued at $475,000, is located at 5046 Adagio Lane off U.S. Highway 70 in Lakeland.

The St. Jude band members will donate their proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Also featured for that June 22nd concert will be Patty Shukla, children’s entertainer with a 45-minute interactive experience for children.

Since 2002 The Mighty Electric St. Jude Band has been providing energetic music for a wide range of events. The volunteer-based band, comprised primarily of St. Jude employees, performs solely for the benefit of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Link to their website:

The concert series at the 65-acre IH Park, 4523 Canada Rd, typically includes inflatables and activities for children, food trucks and live music in the outdoor amphitheater.

St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Lakeland

The home was constructed by major donor and sponsor Southern Serenity Homes. It has four bedrooms/four baths in about 3,400 square feet. The foyer has handcrafted iron railings with hardwoods throughout the house, according to Megan Tancrell, senior regional development director, ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The house has a spacious owner’s retreat and an open floor plan kitchen and great room. Southern Serenity Homes is building the home for the 12th year.

The Dream Home is open for viewing, at no cost, weekends starting May 18th and running through June 16th, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Tickets are $100 each and only 14,500 tickets will be sold.  Your ticket makes you eligible for all the prizes whose deadline hasn’t passed, said Mrs. Tancrell.  “The earlier you buy your ticket, the more prizes you’re eligible for.”
