Wendi Haley joined the City of Lakeland staff, as Recreation Program Supervisor, in September 2017.
The Recreation Program Supervisor plans and supervises a variety of parks and recreation programs, activities, and special events/festivals.
Wendi trains, schedules, and supervises numerous part-time and seasonal staff, including coaches.
She coordinates facility and equipment use for programs and assists with set-up and tear down for all activities within the Parks & Recreation Department.
Wendi compiles detailed participation, expenditures and revenue reports for assigned programs. She helps to prepare the department's budget and solicits and alternative revenues from local businesses for various programs and special events.
Wendi is a proud resident of Lakeland where she resides with her husband, two daughters, and their playful puppy.
Her youngest is in 7th grade at Lakeland Middle Preparatory, and the oldest is a freshman at Middle Tennessee State University.
She has an extensive recreation and competitive sports background with her daughter’s participations and with herself as well.
She has been in management in the Food & Beverage industry for the past 25 years and is now energetically looking forward to serving the citizens of the City of Lakeland!
