component of community life. The
Parks and Recreation department's
mission is to enhance the quality
of life for all Lakeland residents
through the development of parks
and recreational programs, while
preserving natural resources
through policies and education.

What's Happening at IH
Clubhouse
4523 Canada Road, Lakeland
The IH Clubhouse is available at
special rates for community
classes and instructions Monday
through Thursday. It is also
open for viewing every Wednesday
afternoon from 2 - 4 pm for
residents new to Lakeland and
anyone interested in renting the
Clubhouse. The city of Lakeland
schedules the Clubhouse for both
public and private events such
as company gatherings, Christmas
parties, weddings,
anniversaries, reunions, etc.

Zadie
E. Kuehl Memorial Park
City
Park
Located next to City Hall
at 9959 Highway 70, this four-acre
park has a pavilion with picnic
tables, grills, restrooms,
drinking fountain, paved parking,
paved jogging trail and a
playground. Groups wishing to
reserve the pavilion for special
functions need to contact City
Hall. A $50.00 fee is required,
but is waived for Lakeland civic
organizations in most

International
Harvester
Managerial Park
Located at 4523 Canada Road, this
65-acre park consists of rolling
hills, fishing pond, picnic
facilities, portable restrooms and
running, biking and hiking trails
through wooded areas.

The International Harvester Club
House provides multiple services
to the City of Lakeland, mainly
housing recreational classes,
programs and public meetings.
Also, Friday evening through
Sunday evening, the building is
reserved for rentals. The
clubhouse is open for viewing
every Wednesday afternoon from
2-4 pm.
The rental area is composed of:
Large room, 37’ x 59’; small
room with bar, 27’ x 37’;
kitchen with microwave oven,
refrigerator and food
prep-table. Amenities include
machine, beverage cooler, disco
mirror ball and free parking.

Oak Ridge Park
Located at 4215 Heron's
Landing (take Hwy 70 to Seed
Tick Road to Heron's Ridge
Drive to Heron's Landing
Lane). About 15 acres with
current improvements of a
gazebo, a walking path, and
parking, this park is the
combination of the parkland
dedication associated with the
Heron’s Ridge and Oakwood

Plantation
Hills Park
Located at the end of Bluebird
Hill Cove, this three-acre
park has playground equipment,
picnic tables and a federally
designated wetland.
Zadie
E. Kuehl Memorial Park
Located at 3065 Yukon Drive in
the Canada Woods subdivision,
near intersection of Canada
Road and Saskatoon Drive.
Three-acre park offers a
1/5-mile paved jogging trail,
pavilion with picnic tables,
grills, drinking fountain and
playground.

Windward
Slopes Park -
On
Beverle Rivera Drive, next to fire
station (near intersection of
Canada Road and Davies Plantation
Road); this 11-acre natural park with
walking trail, parking, playground, pavilion and restrooms
is now complete and a formal dedication will be held
at a later date.

Park Improvements

Oak
Ridge Park's future
improvements include
playground equipment and
trails. This park also marks
the beginning of what will
become the City’s greenways
system.

El Hill Park
will consist of five acres at the east end of El Hill in
Stonebridge.

Lakeland residents are invited to commemorate individuals,
families or organizations with the
Memorial Tree Program, a living
tribute through the dedication of
trees in Lakeland's city parks: MTP
